WP3

Building capacity in FLR organisations through training

The focal methodological question in WP3 is how to translate and transfer research findings on the barriers undermining victims’ access to services and justice as well as the challenges in FLR organisations into the development of innovative training platforms and materials. To answer this question, we have to conduct a systematic needs assessment of skills, knowledge, ethical values and motivations required for preventing, detecting and intervening DV effectively and fairly.

Methodology

We will screen WP1 research findings by using an adapted version of a conventional training needs assessment. The training needs assessment will give us a profound understanding of what specific skills, knowledge, ethical values and motivations have to be addressed and incorporated in the IMPROVE training platform and materials (T3.3). The screening and assessment of research findings (T3.2) can be regarded as an analysis of what has already been achieved in terms of competencies and what still needs to be trained to improve skills, knowledge, ethical values and motivation to better protect the victims and guide them to services and justice.

We will also design innovative teaching and learning methods (T3.1) utilising the expertise of partners WWU, MININT, POLAMK and DEUSTO on professional education and training.
