AinoAid™ Wins the First-Ever German Prevention Award!
Catharina Vogt holding the German Prevention Award 2026.
The IMPROVE consortium is thrilled to announce a historic milestone: AinoAid™ has been awarded the German Prevention Award (Deutscher Präventionspreis) by the jury of the 31st German Prevention Day (Deutscher Präventionstag - DPT).
The DPT, Germany’s largest multiprofessional conference for prevention, took place in Hannover on April 13th and 14th 2026. With Artificial Intelligence as the leading theme of this year's congress, the DPT introduced this award for the very first time, exclusively recognizing AinoAid™ related prevention projects.
Because of the diverse and high-quality nature of the submissions, the jury decided against a traditional 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ranking. Instead, AinoAid™ was honored as one of three equal, top-tier AI innovations, receiving a prize money of €1,500.
The official award ceremony took place on Monday, April 13th, where Belit Onay, the Mayor of Hannover, personally handed over the award. Project Co-coordinator Catharina Vogt, along with team members Anna and Stefanie, were present in Hannover to proudly accept the prize on behalf of the entire team.
"This award belongs to all of us," shared Catharina. "It is a fantastic recognition of the hard work and dedication of the entire IMPROVE consortium."
This prestigious win coincides with another wonderful signal of respect for the project's impact: IMPROVE is currently being highlighted as an official success story in collaboration with the ERS and the German Police University (DHPol).
Congratulations to the entire team behind AinoAid and IMPROVE for this outstanding and well-deserved recognition!
