Interprofessional study day on La Réunion

On 15 April, an international study day in La Réunion, involving the CNRS/IMPROVE project, addressed the critical link between domestic violence and substance use. Experts gathered to discuss improving support for victims and perpetrators by treating addiction as a significant causal factor in violence. The event highlighted the urgent need to move beyond siloed services and integrate addiction treatment into a coordinated, multidisciplinary response to domestic violence in the region.

Valencia awarded for Good Practices against Violence against Women

The Valencia City Council, through the Valencia Local Police (PLV), has been honored in the 9th Contest for Good Practices against Violence against Women by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP). The recognition, awarded in the “Assistance, Help, and Protection” category, celebrates the PLV's contribution to IMPROVE, specifically for developing and testing a chatbot designed to support and protect victims of gender-based violence. The award ceremony was held on 24 March in Madrid.
